Ways to Give

Individual and Recurring Gifts

Donations from individuals are critical to advancing our mission. You can donate at any time through the donate button on our website or you could make it easy for yourself by setting up a recurring gift through the same button. A recurring gift is an ongoing, specific gift amount determined by a donor that is charged monthly to a donor’s credit card and helps CofS feel confident of your continued support.

Planned Gifts

Did you know that proper Estate Planning can help you leave a legacy gift for the causes that you care about without impacting your current financial situation? Planned Giving allows altruistic individuals to make larger gifts to their favorite charitable organizations than they could make annually from discretionary income.

The easiest way to accomplish this would be to include your selected charity/charities as a beneficiary in your will or trust, your retirement account, or your life insurance policy. This can include cash, stocks or dividends, or even real estate. There are more sophisticated options that you can learn more about through consultation with your tax advisor or financial professional. Have you considered this kind of giving to the Circle of Sisterhood? We’d love for you to!

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match contributions made by their employees. With corporate matching, in most cases, you can double the impact of your donation to the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation (CofS).

It’s simple. When making your gift to the Circle of Sisterhood, check first with your human resources department to see if your employer has a corporate matching gift program. A matching gift enables you to give more to help support our mission and we would be very grateful. Some corporations even monetize volunteer hours donated to the charity of your choice too.

CofS will help you to verify your donation from your employer if needed. Keep in mind, that most corporations have a 90-day window to apply for a match.

Below are some of the corporations that have matched gifts to CofS made by their employees:

  • Bank of America Charitable Foundation
  • Capital Group Companies Charitable Foundation
  • Corning Incorporated Foundation
  • Exxon Mobil Foundation
  • Geode Capital Management, LLC
  • Grange Insurance
  • Illinois Tool Works Foundation
  • Level 10
  • Lilly US Matching Gifts Program
  • Microsoft Matching Gifts Program
  • Rust-Oleum Corporation
  • SAP Matching Gift Program
  • The Boeing Company Gift Match/BPAC Program
  • The GE Foundation
  • Verizon Foundation

Day of Giving – September 30

An exciting 24 hours on the Circle of Sisterhood calendar – and a way to celebrate our birthday – our Day of Giving is when supporters come together to help CofS provide educational opportunities for girls and women worldwide. We are overwhelmed each year by the selfless generosity of students, alumnae, friends, family, businesses, and more within our donor community. It is truly moving to see so many share our passion and support our mission.
