National Philanthropy Day

Did you know that today, November 15th, is National Philanthropy Day? No turkey, stockings, four-leaf clovers or candy hearts involved here. Just a day designated to pay tribute to the vast philanthropic efforts being made in our communities and around the world. It’s a day to recognize the dedicated volunteers, donors, staff and other critical individuals who are literally changing the world through the power of philanthropy.

We know a few of those people.

Thank you to our national volunteers and our board of directors, you are the heart and soul of our organization.

We also recognize the students and staff at our 64 (and growing) partner universities. These are the people who are rising to the challenge to raise the money needed to build a school in Senegal through our partnership with buildOn. Our partner universities are looking to strengthen their impact. They are looking for other universities to plan philanthropic activities to support the school in Senegal and the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation. If you know a student or staff member at a college or university, share the Circle of Sisterhood story with them today. Inspire someone else to make a difference.

That’s what National Philanthropy Day is all about.

National Philanthropy Day is formally supported by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
