ΑΟΠ’s Relationship with CofS

Alpha Omicron Pi International Fraternity is honored to be an official sponsor of Circle of Sisterhood. Circle of Sisterhood’s efforts and mission has made such an impact in the world around us to help remove educational barriers for girls and women who are facing poverty and oppression. Their outstanding work aligns directly with the values that AOII holds dear. Within AOII, we strive to inspire ambition and create a safe space for women to reach their fullest potential from the support of sisters.

Over the years, Circle of Sisterhood has brought together the sorority community to make a difference in the world around us. 14 members of AOII have participated in seven cultural immersion treks to break ground on school builds in five countries and two AOII members currently serve as Circle of Sisterhood volunteers. This partnership is only the beginning of the efforts between Alpha Omicron Pi and Circle of Sisterhood to truly make an impact on the lives of girls and women across the globe.

Service is a pillar of the foundation of Alpha Omicron Pi and from this, we strive to serve communities across the U.S. and Canada and across the globe. This sponsorship with Circle of Sisterhood allows us to build on this foundation to directly impact and make a difference in the lives of so many in countries all over the world. Thanks to the hard work, dedication and changemakers at Circle of Sisterhood, the world is a better place and AOII is proud to support their efforts.

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded in 1897 at Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City. ΑΟΠ has over 190,000 initiated members and 136 current installed collegiate chapters, with 156 active alumnae chapters across the United States and Canada. Alpha Omicron Pi is an international women’s fraternity promoting friendship for a lifetime, inspiring academic excellence and lifelong learning and developing leadership skills through service to the Fraternity and community.
